The Port of Newcastle is the largest bulk shipping port on the east coast of Australia and one of the world’s largest coal exporting ports.

Newcastle Harbour is a busy port. Coal ships are subject to a Vessel Arrival Scheme while non-coal ships obtain berthing priority of a Turn of Arrival basis.
